Our program provides monthly food assistance to orphaned children across various districts in Kerala, ensuring that no child suffers from hunger or malnutrition. Each orphan receives food support valued at INR 2,000.00 per month, which helps cover essential nutritional needs such as rice, pulses, cooking oil, milk, and other basic groceries commonly used in Kerala households. This support is especially important for children living with single mothers who often struggle to provide consistent and nutritious meals due to financial hardship.
Currently, 1,100+ orphaned children benefit from this food assistance program in regions including Malappuram, Kozhikode, Palakkad, and nearby rural areas. These children live with their families rather than in orphanages, allowing them to grow up in a familiar and emotionally supportive home environment. The monthly food support helps families reduce financial stress and ensures that children can focus on their education, health, and personal development without worrying about basic survival needs.
The program is carefully managed through local coordinators and volunteers who identify eligible families, distribute food assistance, and monitor the well-being of each child. Regular follow-ups and community meetings are conducted to ensure transparency, accountability, and effectiveness. In addition to providing food, the program strengthens community bonds and offers emotional encouragement to both children and their mothers, reinforcing the trust’s commitment to holistic care.
To sustain this initiative, a total monthly budget of INR 23,00,000+ is required to support all 1,100+ children. This investment plays a vital role in protecting vulnerable children from hunger and improving their overall quality of life. Through continued support and generosity, this program aims to expand its reach to many more orphaned children across Kerala who are still waiting for assistance, helping them live with dignity, hope, and security.
